I've got Purple Meeples!

Has anyone got any suggestions for free web sites? I'm with Orange (in the UK) and they offer free web sites to ISP Subscribers which I was using until last year. Then they changed it all and you had to use their system and templates to create your site... not a lot of use as I had some sites that I'd written myself from scratch that could no longer be supported - One of them being my Solstice Wars site.

I've got one running under Yahoo GeoCities (for my Fantasy Grand prix site) as I have an email account there, but could use a couple more (The Yahoo one is a bit limited on space). I've had a look at Webs (was FreeWebs) but it seems extremely slow for uploading anything and some of the most simple HTML does not seem to display correctly (it's worked elsewhere!).

Any ideas would be great!  Smiley

Yep, I looked at that a while back. Same problem as Orange - You have to use their tools.

http://www.free-webhosts.com/ is a directory where you can specify waht you need and they'll tell you which providers offer it. I haven't checked it out in detail though, so I don't know if it's any good.

Wishmaster, why don't you just spend the fiver to register your site and a tenner for webhosting for a year?  I think that's how cheap they are these days.  I use GoDaddy.com, but I'm sure you can get other beter offers out there.

I use GoDaddy as well. Very impressed with their install scripts and hosting service. Not free, but worth every penny.
