I know a lot of people don't like to get into their personal life over the internet, but I'm going to take a chance that internet serial killers aren't all that interested in Carcassonne.  Perhaps I'm wrong and if you're out there, shame on you!  Anyway, if you're willing to take that chance with me, I'm curious to know what people in the Carcassonne community do for a living (besides make Carc expansions).  Wink

My wife and I work for a children's home ministry as residential child care providers.  We work with teen-age girls and it is at times very challenging, but quite rewarding.

I'm an Operations Analyst. The easiest way to explain what that means is that I am like a detective who investigates non-criminal activites. My main responsibilities involve verifying the accuracy of our processes and making sure they are the most efficient. I'm also in charge of creating internal orders to replenish items that we make to stock (not for customer orders, but for use in future customer orders of other items). Much of my work is project-based, or as I like to explain it: I make work for other people. I participate in things during their initial stages to make sure they get off the ground properly and later turn them over to others to keep on track. I like the constant change, though sometimes I get stuck with certain things for longer than I would like. Our company doesn't have a lot of computer expert-type people, so my previous experience in that field is often drawn upon to help get things done faster. Helps add variety to my day.

Are you former military and now part of a "private security" outfit?

I actually considered that line of work after my military sniper training, but having children made me rethink how I wanted them to perceive me.

You are a death row prison guard... am I close?

No wait, you said you use a computer for some of your clients, I'm guess you work for an attorney (or maybe you are one) and you have to issue death certificates.  That's my final answer.
