I know trading posts and farmers markets are already in use, so err

I was just thinking about the possibility of having a claimable feature on a tile that (provided you had tokens to trade and some kind of rate of exchange) each turn you could swap the tokens in hand for more valuable tokens not earned from tiles.

just for example

a mill could turn wheat into bread
a brewery could turn wheat into whine I suppose or honey into mead
flax into oil or linen

a mill could be unspecific enough to be multitasking

I earn wheat, I'm lucky and draw a mill tile, deploy a meeple, each turn I (or someone else?) place a tile round it I (they) exchange a wheat token for a bread token. at end game bread tokens are worth a greater amount (or 20 points for the majority holder) than wheat.

and completing the feature could score the meeple some points too

I cant currently think of things to upgrade wine or silk into as they are kinda end of line products
farming raw ingredients and upgrading them into tokens seems to me to be a better way to go

I can't think of anything for wine either but silk could be turned into a tunic or robe or dress maybe...just a thought

3 buildings

A Mill to turn Wheat into Flour
A Tailors to turn Silk into Robes/Vestments
and a Distillery to turn wine into Brandy

each building (occupied or not) either in placement or in adding a tile to its surround allows the option of converting one token into an upgraded token, as well as completing and scoring like a cloister.

my next assignment is how to fileshare like you have done. Do I download a program for this?

I hope this doesn't tread on the toes of mills and bakeries, it is a bit different, but the windmill from that expansion would be perfect for this.

and a distillery, got any images for that?
