The spring

We sometimes play with Rivers I & II.

River II as normal but river I is put to the side of the board and its spring put in with the rest of the tiles (we draw from a bag so the different tile back doesnt show).

When the spring is drawn, the player places the spring away from the board, my favorite idea at the moment is like in "New Discoveries" (thankyou jput927) but only two tiles away from the edge of the nearest tile, place the spring facing away from the other tiles and at that point the game is interrupted to play out the rest of the River I tiles.
